BLACKPINK have announced that they will release a new EP next month, ahead of their debut US, UK, and European concerts.

Revealed by YG Entertainment via Twitter, the K-pop group’s record label announced that both the new EP and its lead single would be titled ‘KILL THIS LOVE’, and it will arrive in less than two weeks.

Due for release on April 5, 2019, a statement made by the label translated into English read: “This comeback will be BLACKPINK’s first in 9 months since the release of of ‘DDU-DU DDU-DU’ in June of last year.”

Shared with an image of one of the band’s two main rappers, Lisa, the statement continued: “As can be seen from the aura of Lisa’s first teaser poster and from the title ‘KILL THIS LOVE’, BLACKPINK’s new song will be much more intense than ‘DDU-DU DDU-DU’.

The statement also touched upon the choreography fans can expect from the title track’s accompanying video. Stating that the creation of it involved “4 world class choreographers,” it will reportedly be “more dynamic than the choreography of BLACKPINK’s songs so far.”

In January, BLACKPINK confirmed details of their first ever European tour, which is due to take place later this year.

Kicking off at Amsterdam’s AFAS Live on May 18, the tour will then head to London’s SSE Arena Wembley on May 22.

As well as the European tour, BLACKPINK will also make history later this year by becoming the first female K-Pop group to perform at Coachella.
