I’ve said this on my Instagram but I’ll say it here too.

These past few days I’ve been watching the news and seeing everything that’s happening has me overwhelmed with so many emotions. I’ve been trying to find the right words to express what I’m feeling right now but I don’t think I will find the right thing to say. So I’m just going to speak.

As a black person seeing this happen once again to my people is disheartening but not surprising because it’s been happening for YEARS. We STILL endure the pain, discrimination, and injustice that generations before me have endured. NOTHING has changed.

Senseless acts of murder against my people are still happening all because of our skin color. And quite frankly, I’m tired of this endless cycle of innocent, unarmed black people being mistreated and murder by the police. It never seems to stop. It keeps happening and will continue to because racism, oppression, and white supremacy are still very prevalent in our American system and society.

It truly is draining and exhausting to continuously see black people die at the hand of the police.
When will it stop?

Black Lives Matter. Always Have. Always Will.
